Teeboxer was founded in 2010. The application was created to make it easier for golfers to find partners to play with. Rather than work around busy schedules and bad weather, the user can add all the data and let Teeboxer guide them to the times that work best for their golf partners. The application currently integrates with a number of popular third party applications, including Plaxo, SalesForce, Facebook, Gmail and LinkedIn.

A new user can join the Teeboxer community by clicking the light grey “Get Started” button along the right hand side of the homepage. A pop up box appears and asks the user if they would like to get a round together, join a course community or explore on their own. The first two options asks the user to sign in with a Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Plaxo, Twitter or SalesForce account. Users can also supply their email address, name and mobile phone number to give the site another way to keep them updated however the user must sign in first.

What does it cost to use the application?

Teeboxer is currently free to all users. There are no limitations and the user can join or create as many rounds as they like. The site doesn’t require a subscription and the user only has to pay any fees associated with their golf outing. The site does note that there may be a small fee added for users who create higher quantities of rounds, however this is not certain and will be determined based on the Teeboxer community’s opinion.
